When a shopper buys an exchange for another product in the portal, they sometimes confirmed twice —a double-click, or a second tab left open— and got a generic error message inviting them to try again, right when trying again wasn't the answer. From today, in that case the portal shows a message of its own: «You already have a request in progress for this order», telling them to check their email for the next steps.
What changes
Before, a second submission of the same request fell back to the generic error «We couldn't process the exchange. Please try again». Now the portal detects that this verification already issued a request and explains clearly that there's no need to send it again.
Why it matters
Asking someone to retry when their request is already on record causes confusion and needless support tickets. Telling the truth —«it's already in progress, check your email»— is more honest and stops the shopper thinking something failed. Nothing leaks: the session was already verified with the order holder's link.
Where you'll see it
In the commercial flow of the shopper portal (Pro plans and above), when confirming an exchange for another product. The message talks about a «request» in general, because that verification could have issued an exchange, a refund or store credit from another tab. The legal withdrawal button and its acknowledgement stay the same.
