You can now download your Data Processing Agreement (DPA) straight from the returnEasier admin. We generate it automatically from a template that follows Article 28 of the GDPR and deliver it as a PDF, ready to file.
What it is and why you need it
When returnEasier handles your customers' withdrawal and return requests, it processes personal data on your behalf. The GDPR requires that relationship to be documented in a data processing agreement (DPA): you act as the controller and returnEasier as the processor. This document sets out in writing which data we process, for what purpose, with what security measures and for how long.
How to download it
Open your store's admin and go to the Compliance page. Next to the auditable export you'll find the button to generate the DPA. When you press it:
- We fill the template with your store domain and the generation date.
- We serve it in your store's language.
- We return a signed download link with the PDF.
The document contains no personal data about your shoppers: only your domain and returnEasier's published details as the processor.
Available on every plan
The DPA is an Article 28 obligation, not a paid feature, so it's available on every plan, including Free. You can download it as often as you need; each version carries its generation date.
