By default, you see the portal in the language the shop chose. In the largest shops (the Scale plan), the portal detects your browser language among the seven available. And the confirmation email and the PDF always come in the shop's language, for the legal certainty of the document.
Most shops: a single language
Most shops operate in a single language: the one they chose when setting up returnEasier. All their customers see the returns portal in that language, regardless of where they are or which language their browser uses. It is not a fault: it is the simplest option for a business that sells mostly in its own market.
Large shops: automatic detection
Shops on the Scale plan enable automatic detection: the portal looks at your browser language and shows you the website in that language, if it is among those available. If you want to see it in another, change the preferred language in your browser settings.
The seven languages
returnEasier is available natively in seven languages:
- Spanish, English, Portuguese, Catalan, Italian, French and German.
It is not machine translation: each language is written out, including the legal texts.
The PDF and the emails: the shop's language
Even if you see the website in your language (in a shop with automatic detection), the confirmation email and the acknowledgement PDF always reach you in the shop's language. This is deliberate: the binding acknowledgement —your legal proof— must come in a fixed, stable language, not one that depends on the browser you happen to use. To find out which documents you receive, read "Which emails and documents will I receive?".
