Until now, returnEasier spoke 7 languages to your customer, but the admin you work in inside Shopify was Spanish-only. That starts changing today: the app now shows in the language of the person using it, on every plan.
The language of whoever runs the shop
The admin follows the language of your Shopify admin user, not the shop's. If your Shopify account is in German, returnEasier appears in German; if it is in Italian, in Italian. There is nothing to configure inside the app.
If your language is not one of returnEasier's 7 —Spanish, English, Portuguese, Catalan, Italian, French and German—, the admin shows in English. Never in a language you did not ask for. One caveat, for honesty: Shopify does not yet offer Catalan as an admin user language, so that catalogue is ready but cannot be switched on from Shopify yet.
What is translated already
In this first stage:
- The app menu: Home, Returns, Analytics, Alerts, Language, Compliance, Plans…
- The home screen: the greeting, the setup checklist, your plan's usage bar and the quota notices (including the reminder that the legal button never blocks, whatever plan you are on).
- The plans page, with each plan's card —its description and its features—, the same cards you see in the last step of the setup wizard.
What stays in Spanish, for now
The returns inbox and each request's detail, the settings and the rest of the setup wizard stay in Spanish while we finish the translation. We will post each batch here, in What's new, as it goes live.
Not to be confused with your customer's language
They are two separate settings and they coexist without stepping on each other:
- The admin language (this update) is yours, the language of whoever runs the shop.
- The «Language» page setting is your customer's: it controls the returns portal, the emails and the acknowledgement PDF.
You can have the admin in French and serve your customers in Spanish, or the other way round.
