returnEasier speaks seven languages: Spanish, English (EU), Portuguese, Catalan, Italian, French and German. On the Free, Compliance and Pro plans your shop is monolingual: you choose one language in the onboarding wizard and the whole portal, the legal templates, the emails, the magic link and the PDF go in that language. On the Scale plan the portal serves all seven with automatic detection of the customer's language.
The seven languages
returnEasier is available in Spanish (Spain), English (EU), Portuguese (Portugal), Catalan, Italian (Italy), French (France) and German (Germany). They are the full set across all customer-facing surfaces: the portal, the legal templates, the emails, the magic link and the acknowledgement PDF.
How it works depending on your plan
| Plan | Languages | How it is served |
|---|---|---|
| Free, Compliance, Pro | One (monolingual) | The language you choose in the onboarding wizard |
| Scale | All seven | Automatic detection in the portal and the magic link (the acknowledgement goes in your base language) |
In monolingual mode, even if a customer has their browser in another language, they are served your fixed language. It is the consistent choice for a shop that sells in a single tongue.
How the language is chosen
Your shop's base language is set in step 1 of the onboarding wizard: you choose the country (which preselects the language) and confirm the language. That value is your shop's language and applies to everything monolingual.
The multi-language of the Scale plan
On Scale, the portal becomes multi-language with automatic detection: it looks at the customer's browser language (the Accept-Language header) and serves the best-matching language of the seven; if there is no match, it uses the default language. This way, a single shop can serve customers from several countries each in their own tongue, without you having to configure anything per customer. To activate it, change your plan to Scale from Plans.
Automatic detection covers the portal and the magic link (what the customer sees and uses). The binding acknowledgement —the PDF and the confirmation email— is, however, generated in your shop's base language: if your base is Spanish and a German customer writes to you, they will see the portal in German but receive the confirmation in Spanish. It is a current design decision.
