You can now change your shop's language from Settings

Until now, returnEasier's language could only be chosen in the setup wizard. From today there is a «Language» page inside the app, available on every plan, so you can change it whenever you want. And on the Scale plan, the language you choose becomes the fallback for automatic detection.

Until now, returnEasier's language was chosen just once, in the setup wizard. From today you can change it whenever you want on the app's «Language» page, in your Shopify admin, and it is available on every plan.

A «Language» page inside the app

The returnEasier menu has a new entry, «Language». Inside you will find a selector with the app's 7 languages —Spanish, English, Portuguese, Catalan, Italian, French and German— and a save button. Nothing else: one setting, one click.

It helps if you picked the wrong option in the setup wizard, if your main market changes, or if you simply want to see how your customer views the portal in another language.

What that language controls

It depends on your plan, exactly as before:

  • Free, Compliance and Pro (monolingual shop): the chosen language controls the returns portal, the customer emails and the acknowledgement PDF.
  • Scale (multilingual): the portal automatically detects the customer's language among the 7. The language you choose here remains the binding language of the acknowledgement.

The page tells you which of the two cases is yours, based on the plan you are on.

On Scale, your language is now the detection fallback

We have fixed a detail that did not add up: on shops with automatic detection, when the customer's browser indicated none of the 7 languages, the portal fell back to Spanish. It now falls back to the language you chose, the same one used for the binding acknowledgement. Consistent, with no surprises for your customer.

When the change takes effect

Straight away, for new requests. Acknowledgements already issued keep the language they were generated in: a legal document is not rewritten after the fact.
