What can I customise about the look of the button and the PDF?

You can customise the look of the withdrawal button from the Shopify theme editor: its colour and its position (footer, header or floating), and in the «Withdrawal link» block also the style (link or button) and the alignment. If you do not set a colour in the theme editor, the button uses the colour you chose in the setup wizard. In addition, from the Pro plan onwards the acknowledgement PDF, the customer portal and the emails carry your brand: your shop's name (today, your Shopify domain) and your primary colour; on Free and Compliance they carry returnEasier branding.

If you do not set a colour in the theme editor, the button uses the colour you chose in the setup wizard. In addition, from the Pro plan onwards the surfaces your customer sees carry your brand: the acknowledgement PDF, the portal and the emails show your shop's name (today, your Shopify domain) and your primary colour; on Free and Compliance they carry returnEasier branding.

The look of the withdrawal button

The legal button is controlled from the Shopify theme editor. For the withdrawal bar (App Embed), open App embeds and locate the returnEasier button. There you adjust:

  • Button colour: any colour. If you leave it unset, the colour you chose in the returnEasier setup wizard is used; if you did not set one there either, a very dark grey (almost black). The theme editor colour always overrides the wizard's.
  • Position: footer (recommended), header or floating button.

The text of the button is not configurable: by law it must say «Withdraw from contract here» (and its equivalent in each language), so returnEasier fixes it.

If you prefer a discreet link instead of the bar, returnEasier offers the «Withdrawal link» block, which you place wherever you want (for example, a footer column or a menu). Its settings in the theme editor:

  • Style: text link or button. The setup wizard colour acts as a default value only in the button variant; the text link inherits your theme's style.
  • Alignment and colour.

How to activate one or the other is explained in the article on activating the button in your theme.

Your brand on the PDF, the portal and the emails, depending on your plan

The surfaces your customer sees —the acknowledgement PDF, the returns portal and the emails— adapt their branding to your plan:

  • Free: they carry the returnEasier brand prominently (on the PDF, additionally, a final page invites the reader to discover returnEasier; the person reading it is your customer, not you).
  • Compliance: a sober returnEasier format, with no invitation of any kind.
  • Pro and above: the footer shows your shop's name instead of returnEasier —today it is your Shopify domain (e.g. yourshop.myshopify.com); showing the trading name is in preparation—, and the legal notice bar uses your primary colour —the one you set in the setup wizard—. If you did not set a valid colour, returnEasier's is used.

Two nuances so that you have exact expectations: the first screen of the portal, where the customer enters their email and their order number, keeps returnEasier's neutral style on all plans (by design); and the emails that reach you as a merchant always carry returnEasier branding —your brand appears on the ones your customer receives.

The legal content —order summary, timestamp, integrity hash and deadlines— is identical on all plans and never changes; the acknowledgement PDF article explains it in detail.

What cannot be customised yet

So that you have realistic expectations: the graphic logo —on the PDF, the portal or the emails— is the part still in preparation; today your brand appears in text (your shop's name; for now, its Shopify domain) and in colour (your primary colour). The customisation you can already use is the look of the button in the theme editor (colour, position and, in the link block, style and alignment), the default button colour from the setup wizard and, from the Pro plan onwards, your name and your colour on the PDF, the portal and the emails.
